Obituary for Lois Faye Morgan

Healdton - Memorial services for Mrs. Lois Faye (Battle) Morgan, 93 of Oil City are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton with Rev. Paul Dean Martin officiating. Inurnment of ashes will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery.

Lois was born Sept. 16, 1928, at Lone Grove to the late Mr. Charlie Lee Battle and Mrs. Mary Rachel (Sims) Battle. She went to her heavenly home on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, in Duncan.

Lois was raised primarily near Lone Grove, marrying Mr. Luther "Luke" Miller on March 22, 1946. To this union they were blessed with two sons, Luther Michael and Johnny Lee Miller. They continued to reside at Lone Grove where Luke was the county commissioner. She and Luke would later get a divorce, which moved Lois to Oklahoma City. There she worked many years for the Daily Oklahoma Journal and as a realtor. She remarried to Lawrence Morgan on June 6, 1965, at the Lake Murray Chapel. Lois retired at the age 50 and she and Lawrence returned to this area, purchasing a farm near Oil City They enjoyed many years together farming and ranching. Lois always enjoyed crocheting, crafting, cooking and working in the yard. Lois attended the Oil City Union Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Morgan; sons, Luther Michael Miller and Johnny Lee Miller; stepdaughter, Janet Mackey; siblings, Edna, Joyce, Vestal, Pat, Doc, Bill and two other child siblings.

Survivors include her beloved granddaughters, Dana Lynn Miller, Tricia Auld and husband Tracy, both of Healdton, Tonya Flynn and husband Kai of Bridge Creek and Krista Miller and fiancé' Jody of Mustang; grandsons, Michael Thompson and wife Lisa of Dickson and Bryan Miller and wife Ashley of Coldwater, KS; step grandchildren, Chrissy Mackey of Healdton and Nick Mackey of Albuquerque, NM; great grandchildren, Andrew, Kolby, Morgan, Taylor, Ashley, Skyler, Koah, Ryker, Kaden, Colt, Marissa, Sienna and Axel; great great grandchildren, Aliza and Derek; numerous other relatives and friends.
