Obituary for Loretta Jean Jarvis (Albin)
Ringling - Funeral Services for Mrs. Loretta Jean (Albin) Jarvis, 80, of Garland, TX are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Paul Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery.
Loretta was born May 31, 1941, at Ringling to the late Mr. Spencer Sylvania Albin and Mrs. Vergie C. (Williamson) Albin. She went to her heavenly home, Sunday Jan. 9, 2022, at Dallas, TX.
Loretta was raised southwest of Zaneis attending first grade at Center Point and then the rest of her school years at Zaneis, graduating high school in 1959. She then attended college at Southeastern OK State University at Durant, where she graduated with her teaching degree. Being an educator, she moved to Oklahoma City for one year before moving to California. There she met and soon married Mr. Richard Jarvis on Sept. 17, 1977, at Todd Valley, CA.
Loretta worked for the Dept. of Rehabilitation for the state of California for 20 years when she retired. Loretta and her family moved back to this area in 1991 and then to the DFW area in 1995 where they have remained. Loretta loved following her granddaughters school activities and was a strong believer of Jesus.
Those preceding her in death were her parents, and daughter in law, Melissa Bowles Jarvis.
Survivors include her loving husband, Richard Jarvis of the home in Garland, TX; son, Brett Jarvis of Garland, TX; sister, Anita J. Albin of Ringling; brothers, Keith Albin and Travis Albin and wife Barbara, both of Zaneis; granddaughter, Ashley Jarvis of Garland, TX; numerous other family and friends.
Casket bearers are Travis Albin, Keith Albin, Keith Albin, Jr., Tyrell Albin, Royce Williamson and Ashley Jarvis.
