Obituary for Randall Miles Goodman

Funeral Services for Mr. Randall "Randy" Miles Goodman, 69 of Ringling are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Waurika. Interment will follow to Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.

Randy was born March 15, 1952 in Ardmore, OK to Harry and Vonda Jean (Stewart) Goodman. He passed peacefully at his home Sunday, February 20, 2022.

Randy was raised in Ringling and graduated from Ringling High School in 1970. He went on to graduate from East Central University. After college, he went to work teaching at Waurika High School for a total of 10 years. He also taught at Wichita Falls, TX, Holiday, TX, and did sales for a little bit before he taught at Ringling. As a little boy, he always helped his dad with his grocery store and helped in the summers, before joining the business. He worked at Harry's Super Foods with his dad before owning the store in 2013. He retired in 2018.

Randy married Rebecca Largent on May 11, 1985 in Waurika at the Waurika Methodist Church. They lived in Wichita Falls, TX before building their home in Ringling, where they remained and raised their children.

He was a member of the Waurika Methodist Church, he was a faithful servant to the Lord, and shared his faith any chance he could. He taught Sunday School in Wichita Falls. Randy loved his children, instilling in them to not give up on their dreams and working hard to achieve those dreams. He coached little league baseball. Randy enjoyed working in his garden, growing roses for Rebecca. He enjoyed sitting on his back porch to watch the birds and sunsets. He loved the annual trips to Destin, FL, sitting on the balcony listening to the waves. He loved sailing. He always has had an interest in flying planes, and in 2021 he was able to fly a plane thanks to his good friend, Tommy Hildebrant, making another dream come true. He loved watching OU athletics and loved watching movies. He collected Coca-Cola memorabilia and he also loved to collect antiques.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents; parents, Harry and Vonda Jean (Stewart) Goodman; and a brother, Rick Goodman.

He is survived by, wife of 36 years, Rebecca of the home; daughter, Lauren Blakemore and husband Sean; son, Stephen Goodman and wife Ally, and his daughter, Whitney Coulombe; grandchildren, Jaceline and Natalie Coulombe; expectant baby Blakemore in April; mother in love, Nell Largent; brothers in law, Chris Largent and Mike Largent and numerous family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tony Ballard, Steve Snider, Dobie Nosser, Richard Grady, Tommy Hildebrant, Gary Gerken, Michael Lemley, and John Graham.

Honorary bearers will be Bill Simmons, Joseph Nosser, Butch Scifres, Jimmy Goodman, Darren Wilcox, Tom Hildebrant, and Mike Gaines.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Waurika First United Methodist Church or a church of your choice.
