Obituary for Bill Dean Landreth

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Bill Dean Landreth, 78 of Ardmore is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewain Duck officiating and Rev. Jim Duck assisting. Interment will follow to Hewitt Cemetery.

Bill was born May 21, 1944 in Watonga, OK to the late Mr. James E. Landreth and Mrs. Elizabeth Marie (Graham) Landreth. He departed from this life on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at his home.

Bill was raised in Fay, OK on a farm attending and graduating from Fay High School. He then attended OSU Tech school in OKC. Bill married the love of his life, Ms. Neva Walters on September 12, 1964 in Thomas, OK. Together they made their home in the Watonga and Oklahoma City area before moving in this area in 1978. In his younger years, Bill helped on the family farm and eventually helping others farm as well. Later he worked in the oilfield for a short while before working in sales then retiring as a truck driver in 2007. Bill enjoyed woodworking, welding, fishing, hunting and loved spending time in the back yard with the grandchildren on the play set he built. He attended the Bethel Assembly of God Church for many years and most recently attended the River of Life Church where he enjoyed helping and volunteering with all the church functions including the food bank that he helped construct and design.

Preceding him in death were his Parents; Sister, Laura Black; Brother, Bruce Landreth, Larry Landreth, and Grandson, Austin Dean Landreth.

Bill is survived by his spouse Neva of the home; sons, Michael Edward Landreth and wife Gina of Greenfield, Robert Duane Landreth and wife Melinda of Woodford; Daughter: Lisa Brown and husband Chass of McAlester; Sister: Jean Lake of Big Springs, Nebraska, Clella Schnell of Watonga; Grandchildren, Cassandra Emmons and Husband Josh of Norman, Caitlyn Landreth of Maysville, Charles Brown of McAlester, Anthony Landreth of Lone Grove, Amanda Jones and husband Gerald of Allen, Justin Landreth and wife Emily of Hickory and Taylor Ward of Woodford; Great Grandchildren: Logan Carpenter, Anna Collier, Skylar Emmons, Madilyn Jones, and Evelyn Landreth; Goddaughters, Wendy Flemming and Tiffany Shurbet. Also, an extended daughter, Donna Kelty and Numerous other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Landreth, Anthony Landreth, Jeff Acox, Gerald Jones, Amanda Jones, and Michael Landreth. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Landreth, Taylor Ward, Volunteers of Wilson Food Bank, and Bearded Sinners.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
