Ringling - Graveside service for Mrs. Gladys Faye (Applegate) Walker, of Ringling are scheduled for 10:00 am Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at the Orr Cemetery with Ricky Taylor officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
Gladys passed from this life on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her home in Ringling. She was born March 3, 1955 at Friona, TX to the late Mr. Maynard Gaylon Applegate and Mrs. Minnie L. (Mauldin) Applegate.
Gladys was raised at Abernathy, TX as one of fifteen children. She married the late Mr. John "Butch Walker on Feb. 1, 1982, which relocated her to Ringling. Butch and her made their home in Ringling since.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Maynard Gaylon Applegate and Minnie L. (Mauldin) Applegate; husband Butch, Jan. 22, 2020; infant siblings, Linda Lou and Billy Jack; siblings, Gaylon Lee, Edna Mae, Kenneth Wayne, Frances Ruth, Billy Ray, Melba Kathleen and Helen Marie.
Survivors include her sisters, Judy Brown of Amarillo, TX and Margaret Louise Scott and husband Frank of Hereford, TX; brothers, Maynard Gaylon Applegate, Jr. and wife Gloria of Pampa, TX, Rudy Van Applegate of Littlefield, TX and Chris Calvin Applegate and wife Cathy of Levelland, TX; numerous other nieces, nephews and other family.
