Obituary for Randell Joe "Randy" Butler

Ratliff City- Home Going services for Mr. Randell "Randy" Joe Butler, 66, of Fox are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Ratliff City with Rev. John Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Randy was born on Dec. 9, 1955, at Duncan to the late Mr. Clarence Palmer "Pal" Butler and Mrs. JoAnn (Briscoe) Butler. He was called home Saturday August 20, 2022, at Oklahoma City.

Randy was raised in Ratliff city, Oklahoma. He attended Fox Public Schools, graduating in 1974. He and the former Ms. Myra Bea Bailey were united in marriage on Dec. 17, 1976, in Henrietta, TX. They resided in Fox, Oklahoma, where they raised two wonderful children.

Randy was employed in the Oilfield, most of his working years, retiring in 2019, from National Oilwell Varco, where he was the Area Sales Manager for the Mid-Continent Region. Randy was known for having an infectious smile, and contagious laugh. He had a great love for his Lord & Savior, witnessing to all he came in contact with. He never met a stranger, was a friend to anyone he met, and a source of strength for all who knew him. Family was “his everything” He loved to spend time with his best friend, and devoted wife, Bea. He also loved to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events, gardening, and lake time with family. Randy’s tender heart provided care for various family members, and friends, in their time of need. Randy was a faithful member of the New Life Assembly of God Church, witnessing his love for God up until his last days.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers, Ronnie Butler and Robert Butler.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Bea Butler of the home; daughter, Sarah Shoemaker of Edmond; son, Colby Butler and wife Kristy of Duncan; grandchildren, whom he adored, Braylen and Bowen Butler; brothers, Richard Butler and wife Kay of Ratliff City and Roger Butler and wife Sissy of Ringling; brother-in-law, Billy Bob Bailey and wife Carole of Duncan; numerous other family, church family and friends.

Casket bearers are Colby Butler, Braylen Butler, Bowen Butler, Chad Bailey, Chad Butler, Ryan Bailey and Rayne Austin.

Family visitation will be held 5pm to 7 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
