Obituary for Deloris Jean Gillaspy (Dobbins)

Ratliff City - Graveside Services for Mrs. Deloris Jean (Dobbins) Gillaspy, 83 are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the Alma Cemetery with Pastor Mike King officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.

Deloris was born October 5, 1938 in Morgantown, WV to the late Mr. Wayts Dobbins and Mrs. Cora (Hardman) Dobbins. She departed from this life on Friday, August 26, 2022 in Duncan, OK.

Deloris was raised in West Virginia attending school there and where she graduated high school. She had lived in Ohio, California before making her home in Oklahoma in 1973. She married Mr. Cecil Gillaspy and together they raised their three children, Debbie, Ray, and Butch. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1990. Deloris worked at the pants factory in Ringling for a short while in the 1980's and had also worked for several local restaurants, lastly working for the Velma Public School as a cook. She enjoyed going out to eat especially with the girls on each one of their birthdays every year and then going to the casinos. Deloris really enjoyed and loved being with her grandchildren.

Preceded her in death were her parents; husband, Cecil; and a son, Butch Gillaspy in August of 1998.

Deloris is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wilson of Duncan; son, Ray Gillaspy and wife Carla of Ratliff City; granddaughter, Tasha Cisneroz and husband Noel of Comanche; great grandchildren, Kaidence, Thomas, Jax, and Ellie Cisneroz; special friends, Linda Wright, Laverne Dulworth and Burneze Mullins; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cary Tivis, Kevin Mullins, Noel Cisneroz, Rounder Henry, Nolan Henry, and Jim Hoggard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kaidence, Thomas, Jax, and Ellie.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
