Obituary for Betty Sue Mashore (Thompson )
Dixie - Home Going services for Mrs. Betty Sue (Thompson) Mashore, 86, of Healdton are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson, with Les Bussell officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery.
Betty was born Aug. 28, 1936 at Lawton to the late Mr. Herbert Allen Thompson and Mrs. Jesse (Ellis) Thompson. She went to her heavenly home with her children at her bedside on Wed. August 31, 2022 at Healdton.
Betty was raised primarily within the Pinto area attending school at Velma. She married Don Edward Mashore on April 3, 1953. She graduated high School thereafter from Velma in 1955. They eventually made their home within the Fox area where they raised their two children.
Betty worked primarily as a seamstress for the Marietta Pants Factory and then later at the Ringling Pants Factory. She and Don also owned and operated a filling station at the Comanche Y intersection for a number of years. More than anything, Betty enjoyed the company of her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved to knit, play Skip Bo, and feed anyone that entered her home.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Don Mashore - July 27, 2021; brothers, Doyle Thompson and Leon Thompson ; sister, Pat Pass and a great grandson, Hunter Mashore.
Survivors include her children, LaDona Tadlock and husband Dale of Healdton, and Kenny Mashore and wife Sherry of Ringling; grandchildren, Jeremy Reynolds, Kendra Brooks and husband Daniel, Chytana Pierce and husband Bill, Rusty Mashore and wife Amanda and Daela Echols and husband John; great grandchildren, Racelynn Gemmell, Danielle Brooks, Destiny Stahbusch, Harley Pierce, Dakota Pierce and Melody, Tristan Pierce and fiance' Micah, Ruger Pierce, Tucker Mashore, Joshua Reynolds, Jordyn Reynolds, Chase Echols, Rosslynne Echols and Raymond Echols; great grandchild, Claire Marie Pierce; numerous other family and friends.
Casket Bearers will be Jeremy Reynolds, Rusty Mashore, Billy Pierce, Tristan Pierce, Ruger Pierce, Tucker Mashore, Dakota Pierce, Chase Echols, Raymond Echols, Weston Ellis and Bill Sorrels.
Honorary bearers will be Jerry and Reba Mashore, Rick and Jayne Pender, David Lomenick and Gary Mashore.
Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
