Obituary for Georgia Lee Canada (Sullivan)

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mrs. Georgia Lee (Sullivan) Canada, 88 of Ringling are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling with Bro. Billy Holder officiating and Sister Ellen Abshire assisting. Interment will follow to Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

Georgia was born August 2, 1933 in Faxon, OK to the late Mr. Charley B. Sullivan and Lula Bell (Roden) Sullivan. She departed from this life on Monday, April 25, 2022 in Healdton, OK.

Georgia was raised in Comanche and Pinto attending school at Fox. She married Clayton "Doe" Mitchell on December 4, 1950 at Wichita Falls, TX making their home in Ringling and later in Cornish. To this union, they were blessed with 6 children. Georgia worked as a short order cook, at the pants factory and lastly as an assistant to Nell Tayar. She enjoyed fishing, garage saling and junking. Georgia was very creative and was a great gardener. She was of the Assembly of God Faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three daughters, Tammy Fitzsimmons, Donna Mitchell, and Carolyn Higdon; and two sisters, Bertha Thatcher and Jean Boswell.

Georgia is survived by her daughters, Debra Sparks of Ringling and Lisa Shepherd of Ringling; son, Glen Mitchell and wife Beverly of Healdton; sisters, Geneva Dalton of Wichita Falls, TX, Charles Dean Ingram and husband Donald of Healdton, and Jo Ann Huggins of Ringling; brother, Les Sullivan and wife Kathy of Ringling; brother in law, Joe Boswell of Wilson; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Casket bearers will be Kodie Shepherd, Lance Pemberton, Shawn Sessum, James Higdon, Jr., Kevin Tynes and Michael Tynes.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Shelly Hickman, Sandra Hudson, Melissa Reynolds, Lance Pemberton, and Ideal Home Health.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
