Obituary for Lawrence Junior Loftis
Lawrence Junior Loftis, of Countyline, departed this life on April 23, 2022 in Springfield, MO at the age of 65 years, 5 months, and 4 days. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Old Velma Cemetery with Brother Mike Johnston officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home Velma Chapel of Velma.
Lawrence was born to the late Mr. Edgar Lawrence Loftis and Mrs. Starley (Bench) Loftis on November 20, 1956 in Duncan, OK.
Mr. Loftis grew up in the Countyline area and attended Velma Schools. He married the late Nancy L. Davis and began his own family making their home in Countyline. He would later marry Gamma (Garrison) Loftis. Lawrence worked in the oilfield. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Mr. Loftis had been a member of the Ratliff City Volunteer Fire Dept for many years when Bob Walker was the fire chief. He was of the Baptist faith.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Stanley Loftis.
He is survived by his wife, Gamma (Garrison) Loftis of the home; son, Kenny Loftis of Countyline; daughters, Erika Loftis of Ardmore, and Ashley Loftis of Ardmore; grandson, Lane Andrew Loftis of Indiana; granddaughter, Savannah Loftis of Duncan and Elizabeth Loftis of Orr; sister, Bonnie Parrish of Countyline; nephew, Kendall Parrish of Countyline; Many other relatives and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Loftis, Kendall Parrish, Aaron Jett, Kyler Parrish, Merle Lovelace, and Mike "Mikey" Cox Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kylie Rouse and Ronnie Lumbart.
