Obituary for Marshall Lynn Hunt

Wilson - Graveside Inurnment Services with Military Honors for Mr. Marshall Lynn Hunt, 75 are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Hewitt Cemetery with Rev. Jim Duck officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Marshall was born October 4, 1946 in Gilmer, TX to the late Mr. James Allen "Bud" Hunt and Mrs. Melba Marie (Brown) Hunt. He departed from this life on Monday, May 9, 2022 at the Ardmore Veterans Center.

Marshall was raised in Healdton graduating from Healdton High School in 1964. Soon after he attended Southeastern where he obtained his Bachelors in History and Psychology. Marshall and Linda Alexander married August 13, 1965 in Wilson. In 1968, Marshall was drafted in the United States Army, enlisted in the United States Air Force as an T-38 Mechanic and retired as Active Army Guard/Reserve for the State of Oklahoma in 1994. He enjoyed building custom cars and hot rods, spending time with the grandchildren and was known to have patience like Job.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Marshall is survived by wife of 55 years, Linda of the home; son, Jeffery "Jeff" Hunt and wife Jonelle of Ardmore; daughter, Amy Porter and husband Sam of Cabot, AR; PawPaw of 5 grandchildren, Jenna Hunt, Johnathon, Makenna, Aidan, and Grady Porter; sister, Joan Tibbs of Wilson; brother, Wiley Hunt and wife Robin of Sapula, OK; and by other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home.
