Obituary for Christine Marie Jones (Jackson)

Ardmore- Services for Christine Marie (Jackson) Jones, 88, of Ardmore, are scheduled for 2PM Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Bro. Billy Holder and Paul Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lone Grove Cemetery.

Christine was born November 20, 1933 at Oswalt to the late Mr. William F. Jackson and Mrs. Ola (Roach) Jackson. She departed this life Thursday, May 12, 2022 at her home in Ardmore.

Christine was raised in Love County attending school at Meadowbrook, Pike, and Marietta. She and her family moved around but stayed in the Marietta and Oswalt area where they worked as farmers. Christine married the love of her life, Calvin Jones, on January 3, 1951 at Gainesville, TX. The couple moved to the Lone Grove area where they made their home and began a family. Christine and Calvin were blessed with two children, Carolyn and Ernie. She loved having a farm and gardening. Christine enjoyed her vacations to California along with camping, fishing, reading, and sewing. She regularly attended the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Ringling. Christine had a love so strong for her family and friends that each one was very near and dear to her heart.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Calvin in 1981; siblings, Lloyd Jackson, Lucille Sloan, Elvin Jackson, J.M. Jackson; son, Ernie Jones and son-in-law, J.R. Morriss.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Morriss of Lone Grove; grandchildren, Jerrel Miller and Jamie Miller of Lone Grove, Jennifer Miller of Ardmore and Jeri Miller of Bogata, TX; great grandchildren, Liam, Monica, Makina, and Wyatt Earp; brother, Gene Jackson and wife Virginia of Courtney; three great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Jackson, Liam Miller, Ricky Reid, Braden Jackson, Garin Taylor, and Bryan Carver.

Honorary bearers are Gene Jackson, Jerrel Miller, Wyatt Parsons, and Dustin Brackeen.

Family visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6-8PM at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
