Obituary for Dorothy "Dot" Lou Grover-Ledford

Ringling - Services for Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Lou (Lance) Grover- Ledford, 82, of Chickasha are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle with Bro. Ronnie Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.

Dot was born March 29, 1940, at Ringling to the late Mr. Virgil Lance and Mrs. Artie Mae (Shockley) Lance. She departed from this life on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Chickasha, OK.

Dot was raised primarily in Ringling and Healdton area. She married Mike Grover on June 4, 1957 at Gainesville, TX. The couple resided at Nacona, Gonzales, Arlington, and then in 1985 they made their home in Healdton. Dot worked as a Electronic Company Supervisor, owned and operated Dot and Mike’s Flower Shop in Healdton, and then at the Ringling Motel. Mike preceded her in death on May 20, 2011. Dot became remarried on March 31, 2013 to Ted Ledford, at Chickasha where they made their home. She always enjoyed gospel singing and loved living for the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Grover; sisters, Joyce Lance, Marie Price, Patsy Watkins, Peggy Byer, and Colleen Grant.

She is survived by her husband, Ted Ledford of the home; daughters, Tami Stewart and husband Dennis of Healdton, Sanda Noland and husband Doug of Mansfield, and Tanya Humphrey and husband Chris of Burneyville; sister, Dixie Linn of Oklahoma City; Stepchildren, Latahona Ledford and Shawn Ledford; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers will be Trent Humphrey, Joshua Rangel, Zac Stewart, Micah Obal, Chris Humphrey, and Dennis Stewart.

Honorary bearers are Lee Grant, Gale Beck, Jearl Greenroyd, Larry Watkins, Dewayne McCarty, and Wayne Strader.

Family visitation will begin at 1 P.M., prior to the service at the Church of Jesus Christ Gospel Tabernacle Church in Ringling.
