Obituary for J.Len Mauldin

Ringling - Graveside services for Mr. Roy J.Len Mauldin, 60 of Kansas, OK are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Dixie Cemetery with Bro. Doug Hickman officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.

J.Len was born May 20, 1962 in Duncan, OK to the late Mr. J.W. Mauldin and Mrs. Rudene (Tipps) Mauldin. He departed from this life in Siloam Springs, AR.

J.Len was a devoted father and never missed an opportunity to have a "good 'ol cookout" for any occasion or even if there wasn't an occasion. J.Len was a truck driver all his life and began his career at Brady Welding in Healdton, following in the footsteps of his dad. After many years there he moved his family to northeast Oklahoma and began a new career in truck driving, driving over the road "haulin' chicken". This was undoubtedly a good move for him as it allowed him to build his own trucking business and Ponderosa Pine Trucking was born. He and his son Bubba ran two trucks in Ponderosa Pine Trucking until 2017 when after 35+ years behind the wheel and nearly losing his life in an accident, he retired.

Even though retired, J.Len had not stopped touching lives of people around him. Everyone he came in contact with could call him a friend, well noted by the enormous amount of contacts he had in his phone (smiling as I wrote this). Not to mention his "country/hick" accent was infectious and has kept even his family laughing for days and some quotes even years. Just ask the girls!

J.Len was preceded in death by his father and mother and one niece Mandy Musick.

He is survived by two daughters Morgan "Mo" Martin and husband Ryan of Kansas, OK, Clarissa "Baby Girl" Mauldin and boyfriend Kyle of Kansas, OK, and one son Jay "Bubba" Mauldin and girlfriend Kim of Pea Ridge, AR, and two grandsons Will and Raylan Martin of Kansas, OK. He also had many "adopted" children as his house in his younger years was always full. He is also survived by two sisters Ruby Gail Musick of Norman, OK and Rhonda Jean "Shorty" Mauldin of Ringling, OK, and one niece Laurie Musick of Ada, OK.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Martin, Will Martin, Raylan Martin, Kyle Harlin, Brian Hoskins, Rick Sally, and Jay "Bubba" Mauldin.

Visitation hours will be between 5-8 P.M. Monday evening at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
