Obituary for Jimmie Andrew Williams

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Jimmie Andrew Williams, 81, formerly of Ringling, are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Alexander Gray Chapel of Wilson with Bro. Roy Vinson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rubottom Cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born on Jan. 15, 1941 at Rubottom to the late Louis Alton Williams and Mytie Lorine (Furrh) Williams. He departed this life on Friday, June 10, 2022 at an Ardmore nursing home.

Mr. Williams was raised in Rubottom attending school at Leon. He married the former Peggy Chisum and to this union, they were blessed with three children, Peggy Ann, Jimmie Jr., and John. At this time they resided in Rubottom. Jimmie remarried again several years later, to the late Deanna Marie (Besherse) on Oct. 31, 1964 at Wilson and they were blessed with a daughter, Donna. They had made their home originally in Rubottom, and then Lone Grove and lastly at Ringling where he worked as a bus driver for the school. Most of his working years he had been employed as a truckdriver, and loved rodeo's, especially watching the PBR. He was a member of the River of Life Pentecostal Church of Wilson.

Those preceding him in death are his parents; wife Deanna, on May 18, 2020; son, Jimmie Williams, Jr. -1997; infant daughter, Dianne Michelle; two year old sister, Dorothy Mae Williams and brother, Alton "Pug" Williams.

Survivors include his children, Peggy Harp and husband Craig of Enid, John Williams of Marietta and Donna Curtis and husband Freddie of Ardmore; grandchildren, Jeremy, Samantha, Jamy, Kayla and Dia; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Casket bearers will be family.

Family visitation will be 5 to 7pm Wednesday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
