Obituary for Marie Sessions

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mrs. Maire (Tipps) Sessions, 97, formerly of Ringling are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, June 27, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Ringling with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemtery of Ringling. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.

Mrs. Sessions was born Sept. 29, 1924 at Loco to the late Mr. William "Bill" Arthur Tipps and Mrs. Mary Estelle (Southerland) Tipps. She went to her heavenly home on Thursday morning, June 23, 2022, at a healthcare facility in Edmond.

Mrs. Sessions was raised in Loco attending her school years at Mountain Home. She married James "Jim" Sessions and they were blessed with two daughters, Patricia and Doylene. They made their home in Ringling, where Marie worked many of her years as a switchboard operator and later as a waitress at the 70 Cafe'. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ringling and enjoyed sewing and was a tremendous cook.

Preceding her in death are her parents; sisters, Nina Phillips, Owita Roach and Irene Rowe and a brother, Ralph Tipps.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Grinstead and husband Bob of Umatilla, FL and Doylene Manning and husband Doug of Edmond; grandchildren, Desiree Mathews and husband Larry of Guthrie, Darrell Manning and wife Carmen of Moore and Cynthia Skigen of Jacksonville, FL; 3 great grandchildren and numerous other family, church family and friends.

Casket bearers are Darrell Manning, Jake Manning, Larry Mathews, Jackson Skigen, Alexander Skigen and Stanley Watkins.

Family visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm Sunday afternoon at the funeral home in Ringling.
