Graveside services for Mrs. Brenda Carol (Phillips) McKinnon, 66 are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Crow Cemetery with Bro. Brian Baker officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Brenda was born June 15, 1950 in Brownfield, TX to the Mr. Horace Dexter Phillips and Mrs. Jackie Lee (Riggs) Phillips. She departed from this life on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at her home in Wilson.
Brenda was raised in Brownfield, TX residing and later marrying Marvin McKinnon there in February of 1967. Brenda and Marvin made their home in the Wilson area where they have remained. She graduated from Murray State College becoming a registered nurse in 1985 working numerous places. Later she retired from the Wilson Nursing Home. Brenda loved her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Horace and Jackie.
Brenda is survived by her husband; Marvin of the home, daughters, Angela Jackson of Bentonville, AR and Kelly Williams of Healdton; sister Shela Phillips of Ardmore; brother H.J. Phillips and wife Katie of Austin, TX; 4 grandchildren Kelli, Dylan, Austin and McKinna, 2 great grandchildren Remington and Rexi and 1 great on the way.
Pallbearers will be Alex Miller, Colton Singleton, Dylan Schaaf, Frank Schaaf, Austin Williams and Jay Jackson.
