Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Opal Christine Marutzky, 72 of Wilson is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 24, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Tom officiating. Interment will follow to Hewitt Cemetery.

Mrs. Opal Christine Marutzky was born December 16, 1943 to the late Mr. Homer D. Branson and Mrs. Melinda Allene (Kittrell) Branson in Burkburnett, TX. She departed from this life on March 20, 2017 at her home in Wilson.

Christine was a graduate of Wilson High School and began working for Dr. Noma Rector. She met and soon married Oliver Jackson “Buck” Marutzky December 7, 1962 at the Wilson First Baptist Church. Christine enjoyed working with Buck in the garden; planting flowers and working together outside. She owned and operated a beauty salon called the Magic Mirror. She loved doing hair and socializing with the people in the Wilson community. Christine enjoyed reading Gods word and listening to Kenneth Copeland.

Preceding her in death are her parents; and children, Angel Marutzky and Danny Marutzky.

Christine is survived by her husband, Buck of the home; children, Sherry Claxton and husband Ronnie of Oswalt, Tina Marutzky of Edmond, Scott Marutzky of Wilson and Holly Rutledge and husband Rob of Wilson; sisters, Ella Briney and husband Michael of Guthrie, Portia Lewis and husband Rheamon of North Carolina and Linda Haynes and husband Ray of Sulphur; numerous grandchildren, few great grandchildren and some great great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the ladies at the Assembly of God Church for all the uplifting prayers and continued support.
